ASME SB163 Monel 400 N04400 Seamless Tube For Heat Exchanger

Monel belongs to a group of nickel alloys. The Monel 400 Tube is produced with high concentrations of copper and chromium in their chemical composition. These tubes are designed to suffice in corrosion stress-induced environments. They don't easily dissociate or deform under any temperatures. The SB 163 N04400 grade is designed with superior strength and excellent mechanical properties.

Considéré comme un matériau très résistant tel que mesuré par des tests d'impact, le tube en alliage 400 présente d'excellentes propriétés mécaniques dans des conditions inférieures à zéro. Même lorsque l'alliage est refroidi à la température de l'hydrogène liquide, il ne subit pas de transformation ductile-fragile. Du côté le plus chaud de la plage de températures, l'alliage 400 fonctionne bien à des températures allant jusqu'à 1000° F.

Le tube sans soudure Monel 400 présente également une résistance élevée aux alcalis. Étant donné que le tube sanitaire Monel 400 a une teneur plus élevée en cuivre, le Monel 400 est rapidement attaqué en présence d'acide nitrique et d'ammoniac dans les systèmes de tuyauterie.
