Overview
ASTM A403 WP304H has a high carbon content in chemical compositions.ASTM A403 WP304H normally is used for the pressure piping systems of moderate and high temperature services. WP304H is a kind of heat and corrosion resistant steel. It has a good pipe bending, welding performance, heat and corrosion resistance, high rupture strength and stability, also the cold deformation ability is very good.It could be used up to 650°C,oxidation temperature up to 850°C.
SS304H is a high carbon containing version of the conventionally used austenitic alloy grade 304 Stainless steel. The controlled carbon chemistry is the reason why the SS 304H Reducer has an increased Strength even when used at temperatures as high as up to 1500°F Apart from being an economical alloy, A403 WP304H Elbow is considered to be versatile and corrosion resistant. Thus making it suitable for use in a wide range of general-purpose applications. The standard for wrought grade austenitic stainless steel fittings such as UNS S30409 Tee the has been covered by ASTM A403 specification. The fittings produced in accordance with this specification are intended for use in applications involving pressure piping systems. The ASTM A403 is a specification that has enlisted several aspects that need to be followed during the production of these fittings by manufacturers.
