Ring spacer flanges, also known as a spectacle blind. A ring spacer flange consists of a metal ring that is placed between two flanges, effectively "spreading them apart." This is commonly used to temporarily or permanently isolate a section of a piping system, providing a break in the line without the need to physically disconnect or remove sections of pipe. These flanges are frequently employed in applications where maintenance or repairs are required downstream of the spacer.
