    Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800, W. Nr. 1.4876) is a widely used material for manufacturing equipment that requires corrosion resistance, heat resistance, strength, and stability. It can be used at temperatures up to 1500 ° F (816 ° C). Alloy 800 has general corrosion resistance to many water-based media and can resist stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content. At high temperatures, it has antioxidant, carburizing and sulfurization resistance, as well as fracture and creep resistance.


    Application:
    Steamer furnace, muffle furnace and heat treatment fixture and basket, vacuum furnace device, chlorination equipment with high working temperature of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit, titanium dioxide factory, steamer furnace, heater, distiller, bubble cap tower and condenser in fatty acid process, evaporator tube, tube plate and tablet plate in Sodium sulfide manufacturing process, rosin acid treatment equipment in pulp manufacturing, etc.

    Processability
    The processing characteristics of INCOLOY 800 alloy are similar to those of iron based alloys. This alloy is prone to work hardening during processing.

    Welding
    INCOLOY alloy 800 can be welded using matching filler metals through common welding techniques.

    Molding
    This alloy exhibits good ductility and can therefore be formed using conventional methods.

    Hot working
    INCOLOY Alloy 800 can be Hot working in the temperature range of 871-1232 ° C (1600-2250 ° F).

    Cold working
    Standard tools can be used for cold working of alloys.

    Annealing
    INCOLOY alloy 800 can be annealed after cold working. Annealing should be carried out at 982 ° C (1800 ° F) for 15 minutes, followed by air cooling of the alloy.

    Application
    Incoloy 800 is used in various applications involving exposure to corrosive environments and high temperatures. It is used for heat treatment equipment, such as baskets, pallets, and fixtures. In chemical and petrochemical processing, this alloy is used for heat exchangers and other pipeline systems in nitric acid media, especially when resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking is required. In nuclear power plants, it is used for steam generator piping. This alloy is commonly used as a sheath for electric heating components in household appliances. In pulp production, the cooking liquid heater is usually made of alloy 800. In petroleum processing, alloys are used as heat exchangers for air cooling process flow.
